About Kakatiya University:
Kakatiya University was established on August 19, 1976. The university is offering about 120 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the faculties of arts, science, commerce and business management, social sciences, education, engineering and pharmaceutical sciences with constituent and affiliated colleges spread over four districts of Andhra Pradesh.
 The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. The University situated in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, has now 24 departments in four colleges on the campus with a network of eleven constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges.

ICSI Company Secretary December exam results to be released on February 25

Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), the only certifying body for Company Secretaryaspirants, will declare on February 25, 2014 the results of Professional Programme, Executive Programme (Old Syllabus), Executive Programme (New Syllabus) and OMR based Foundation Programme Examinations that took place in December 2013.
The results of the three levels of Company Secretary Examinations will be declared according to the following schedule:
1. Professional Programme exam results will be declared at 10.00 AM on February 25, 2014
2. Executive Programme (Old and New Syllabus) exam results will be available by 12.30 PM on February 25, 2014
3. OMR based Foundation Programme exam results will be released by 2.30 PM on February 25, 2014
Candidates can view their respective results with subject-wise break up of marks after the specified time of release of results on the Institute of Company Secretaries of India website. The result-marks statement will be sent in hard copy though post to only those candidates who had attempted the Professional Programme Examination while those having appeared for the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus), Executive Programme (New Syllabus) and OMR based Foundation Programme Examination will not receive any hard copy of the results-marks statement.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), began the Company Secretary examinations from December 20, 2013.The Company Secretaryship course, conducted by ICSI is held in three parts: Foundation Programme, Executive Programme and Professional Programme. Candidates having cleared 10+2 are eligible for the Foundation Programme, those having cleared the Foundation Programme or have completed Graduation are eligible for the Executive Programme. Clearing the Executive Programme is necessary to be eligible for the Professional Programme. Examinations are held twice a year in June and December and only after clearing the Professional Programme examination a candidate receives Associate Membership with ICSI and may practice as a Company Secretary. 

Nalanda Open University declares result of MA

Nalanda Open University  has declared MA (Sociology) part II exam result 2013 on Feb 14th 2014. Candidates who appeared in the examination can check their result on the official website of the university 
About Nalanda Open University:
The Nalanda Open University commonly known as NOU was established in March 1987. It is named after the famous Buddhist University of Nalanda, the ancient seat of learning. In 1995 the Nalanda Open University Act was passed, and the university came under its jurisdiction.

ICAI IPCC exam results 2014 announced

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the intermediate Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) examination result 2014. The IPCC examination was held in November, 2013.The exam results have been released, thereby clearing the air of confusions among candidates. The exam was held at various centres across the nation.

Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check their result on the official website. To check the result, insert the roll no. and the results can be checked.
The merit list of candidates scoring a minimum of 55 percent is available on the website. The results can also be accessed through the text message result. To receive the IPCC result through SMS, the candidate should type CAINTER (space) (your six digit IPCC examination roll number) and send it to 58888.

Finally a sigh of relief for all the candidates who had appeared for the exam.

Having cleared the IPCC, the candidates will be eligible for Chartered Accountancy (CA) final examination. After clearing the CA final examination, the candidate becomes a certified member of ICAI and is qualified to practice as a CA.

While appearing for AIPMT exam, attempt all the questions, carefully. A correct answer in the exam will help in gaining four marks whereas a wrong answer will deduct one mark. The exam will consist of 180 objective type multiple choice questions to be answered in three hours.

The tips and tricks for attempting AIPMT exam are mentioned below:

- Understand the Syllabus throughly, specially which individual sections are important
- Cover all topics given in syllabus, avoid skipping any topic
- Prepare beginning from Class 11 syllabus before moving on to Class 12. Make sure you are clear on the basic concepts.
- Don't hesitate to clear confusions from Class 11 even though you are in Class 12
- Begin your preparation as soon as possible
- First understand concepts from NCERT books before moving on to others.
- When selecting extra books to study from aim to focus more on question banks/ sample papers/ previous papers and buy text books for topics you have doubts in or are weak in.
- Make sure when you buy question banks/ sample papers/ previous year papers that answers are given. This way you can identify and improve on the sections you went wrong in.
- Create a quick revision sheet for each subject. Add points that are important and that you are likely to forget.
- Follow subject-wise study patterns instead of applying the same studying technique to all subjects for example use flow charts for Biology Processes, a formulae list for Physics numericals and mnemonics for Biology and Chemistry.
- Create a fresh study schedule every month based on your success or difficulty with the current study schedule.
- Try to study at least 2 subjects per day and increase to 3 subjects to get into the habit of thinking about all 3 subjects that will appear in the exam.
- Study diagrams, even though you won't be asked to draw any diagram based questions may come.
- As AIPMT questions are not necessarily repeated it important to revise all topics carefully.
- Give extra attention to Biology 90 questions are based on it. Study Botany and Zoology equally.
- Practice Sample papers and previous year papers within the time limit you will be given at the exam.
- Revise at least twice.

GATE 2014: Last minute tips for mechanical engineering

GATE is one of the most popular and difficult entrance exams students hailing form the science stream have sit for.
GATE is considered to be a gateway for students who seek admission to various post-graduate programmes in Indian higher education institutes, with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other government agencies.
The recent trend of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs ) hiring candidates at entry-level positions on the basis of their GATE scores has led to an increase in the number of students appearing for the exam, in turn raising the bar of competition.
With the increasing competition, GATE aspirants need to be on their toes making the best of every minute they have to prepare for the exam.
Here are a few handy last minute tips for mechanical engineering to help students push the GATE wide open!
First let us have a look at the paper pattern:
There will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks are in General Aptitude (GA).
GATE 2014 would contain questions of two different types in various papers:
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. These questions are objective in nature, and each will have a choice of four answers, out of which the candidate has to mark the correct answer(s).
Numerical Answer Questions of 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. For these questions the answer is a real number, to be entered by the candidate using the virtual keypad. No choices will be shown for this type of questions.
Last minute tips:
  • Concentrate on the following important topics for mechanical engineering: Energy Systems, Aerospace, Thermal Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Design.
  • Students can also refer to the following books for preparation: Fundamentals of Classed Thermodynamics-Van Wylen, Heat and Mass Transfer-R. Yadav and Energy Conversion-Sukhalmoy
  • Normally GATE paper consists of that questions that are related to specialisation in M. Tech and M.E.
  • When you start your preparation, just concentrate on concept not on theory derivation.
  • Try and solve as many past year question papers as you can. It will give you an insight into the kind of questions which are generally asked.
  • Solve mock test papers available on IIT-Kharagpur website as it will help you strategies your time management techniques.
  • Make short memory cards to help in last-minute revision.
  • Devote more time towards revising topics which have more weightage in comparison to others.
  • Refer to specific books recommended for GATE instead of trying to read any book that comes your way!
  • Avoid studying overnight on the last day before the exam.
  • Do not start a new topic at the last minute! Instead revise the topics you have already completed.
  • Most importantly keep your calm and don't panic.
